Hearts Together: A Card-Making Party

After last year's catastrophic flood, Kerrville found hope and began rebuilding. This year, another devastating flood has once again left our community heartbroken, overwhelmed, and wondering where to begin. While we can't fix everything, we can remind one another that no one has to walk through this alone. That's why three local businesses: Uncle Jenn's World, Kerr Kids, and Kerrville Family Guide are coming together to create meaningful ways for our community to heal, with kids and families at the heart of it all. 💙 Uncle Jenn's World is hosting a Community Card-Making Party on July 29th from 11:00am–2:00pm, where children, families, and community members can create handmade cards filled with encouragement, hope, and gratitude for first responders, flood victims, and anyone who could use a little extra love right now. This event is free of charge, but an RSVP is required, and all guests will need to complete a waiver for Kerr Kids (available online). 💙 The event will take place inside Kerr Kids' indoor play space, a place that holds special meaning for so many families. Kerr Kids was created after last year's flood wiped out local playgrounds, giving children a safe place to play and just be kids again. It feels especially meaningful to gather in this joyful space now as we continue to support one another. 💙 Kerrville Family Guide will be onsite sharing details about their Sweet Relief Bake Sale happening August 8th. At the card-making party, families and anyone who wants to help can sign up to receive a FREE Bake Sale Kit, generously donated by Uncle Jenn's World. These kits are meant to be taken home, turned into cupcakes while making memories together, and then returned to be included in the community bake sale (date coming soon!). It's another simple, meaningful way for kids and families to be part of helping Kerrville heal. This event is about more than cards or cupcakes; it's about giving our kids and families a way to feel connected, helpful, and hopeful during a time when our community needs it most.
