Lori Moose
Secretary
Hi there! I’m Lori Moose. I grew up in Bulverde, Texas, and moved to Kerrville in 2016 with my husband, who’s a Kerrville native. We’re proud to be raising our two sweet daughters here and absolutely love this community! I have a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and currently work at Bright Beginnings Play School here in town. Being part of the Kerr Kids family has been an incredible experience! Coming together with others who share the same heart for kids and community is truly inspiring. I’m excited to keep helping Kerr Kids grow and make a positive impact in Kerrville!

Justine THOMPSON
Event Coordinator
After moving to Kerrville six years ago, I’ve grown to love this wonderful community and wanted to find a way to give back. With a degree in education, children’s learning has always been my passion, and Kerr Kids’ mission and vision truly embodies that. I’m excited to grow with both the organization and the community as we create fun, educational, and free events and programs for all kids. Together, we’ll bring the joy of learning to the children of Kerr County!

Alyssa Chavez
Founder & CEO
I fell in love with Kerrville the moment I moved here — its charm, its people, and the small town community feel. After the flood, seeing how families were affected, including my own, I felt called to bring hope and connection back. With a lifelong love of creativity, I founded Kerr Kids to create a welcoming, family-centered space where imagination, growth, and community spirit can flourish for generations to come.

Kayla Smith
President
Hi friends! My name is Kayla, I Love Kerr Kids. I was born and raised right here in Kerrville, and this community holds a special place in my heart. Over the years, I’ve worn many hats — dance teacher, photographer, mom, and neighbor — but one thing has always stayed the same: my love for kids and seeing them thrive. Together, we can make Kerrville an even better place for our kids to grow.

Sam Carroll
Vice President
Kerrville has always had a special place in my heart—it's where I grew up and made lifelong memories. After moving back with my husband and two sons, I noticed the town was missing an affordable indoor space for kids to play and connect. That’s why I love Kerr Kids—it gives children across Kerr County a fun, accessible place to make friends and create memories of their own.
